Description

Territory: Birmingham, AL

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:30pm - 6pm, follows school calendar with potential for summer hours

Status: Part-Time, Non-exempt

About the Role

The Site Director is the heart of a Healthy Kids Programs location. You'll lead the daily operations of the site by creating a safe, engaging program that children love and families trust. You'll support and coach your team, build strong relationships with families and school partners, and ensure the program meets Healthy Kids Programs' quality standards and all licensing requirements. If you're an energetic, organized leader who enjoys making a positive impact in children's lives every day, this is the role for you.

What Success Looks Like

  • Program Quality: Kids are engaged, safe, and having fun every day; the program reflects Healthy Kids Programs’ model and families consistently choose to re-enroll
  • Staffing: The site is fully staffed every day; teachers are prepared, supported, and showing up for the kids
  • Compliance: The site operates in ratio at all times; records are accurate and current; the program is ready for inspection on any given day
  • Inventory: The site is well-stocked with the supplies and materials teachers need; nothing runs out mid-week; restocking happens before it becomes a problem

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or early childhood coursework preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or youth program setting
  • Some experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred
  • Familiarity with before- and after-school program environments a plus
  • Knowledge of state childcare licensing or school-age care regulations helpful but not required
  • Calm, flexible, and resourceful in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to pass required background and fingerprint clearances
