About the Role
Brighton College is seeking to appoint a School Bus Supervisor to join our committed team in the heart of Brighton & Hove. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a leading educational institution, playing a vital role in ensuring that pupils travel safely, comfortably, and with appropriate supervision.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment during school transport, providing reassurance and support to pupils while upholding the highest standards of care and professionalism.
Hours of Work
- This role will be 20 hours per week across a split shift, working from 7.00am to 9.00am and 4.30pm to 6.30pm Monday to Friday inclusive.
- This will be a term-time (35 week) appointment.

School Bus Supervisor Duties
- Greeting children with warmth and professionalism
- Carrying out daily registration checks
- Assisting pupils with seating and seat belts
- Monitoring behaviour to maintain safety
- Supporting children with special needs during the journey
- Ensuring all pupils are safely handed over to their guardians at the end of each trip

School Bus Supervisor Requirements
- Friendly, caring, and patient attitude towards children
- Reliability and punctuality are essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay calm and composed in unexpected situations
- Comfortable speaking with parents and maintaining confidentiality
