Role Overview
This is a part-time, permanent caretaking position, split across both schools:
- Wyche C of E Primary School: 12 hours per week
- St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School: 12 hours per week
We are seeking a motivated, competent, and reliable caretaker to support the maintenance, safety, and cleanliness of two primary schools. As church schools, we prioritise our inclusive ethos, safe environments, and** commitment to safeguarding**.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general repairs, maintenance, and premises upkeep
- Conduct and log statutory checks including:
- Fire alarm testing
- Water temperature monitoring
- Maintain the school environment to ensure pupils and staff thrive
- Assist with basic cleaning and upkeep tasks
- Follow safety protocols and safeguarding guidelines
School Locations & Access
- Two-mile distance between schools, with a <10-minute drive between sites.
- A visit to both schools is encouraged (by arrangement).
Key Commitments
- Safeguarding & Criminal Record Checks:
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) check required.
- Post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (criminal disclosures must be declared).
- Emphasis on safeguarding children and adults in line with Worcestershire County Council policies.
