School Catering Supervisor

Catering Supervisor (Part-Time) – Chartwells (Compass Group UK&I)

We’re recruiting an experienced Catering Supervisor who is passionate about delivering exceptional food and world-class customer service. This 25-hour-per-week role will see you oversee all Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for Chartwells on a part-time basis.

About the Role

As a Catering Supervisor, you will ensure kitchens and service counters operate seamlessly, contributing to outstanding food experiences. Typical shift patterns will be communicated on a case-by-case basis.


Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Preparing delicious food to the highest standards
  • Supervising culinary and catering teams to maintain excellent food consistency and customer service
  • Regular communication with your line manager to monitor KPIs and targets
  • Representing Compass Group UK&I, upholding our positive brand image
  • Liaising between customers and teams to ensure expectations are exceeded
  • Supporting and training staff, leading delivering collaborative excellence
  • Implementing and reviewing Health & Safety standards, ensuring compliance across catering operations

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal Catering Supervisor will:

  • Have a passion for great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
  • Hold a minimum of two years’ catering experience
  • Have team management experience in a similar role
  • Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Be an ambitious, motivated individual committed to ongoing upskilling
