School Cleaner - Bank staff

Our Cleaning Operatives play a vital role in the life of the Academy, helping to create a space where students can thrive, staff can perform at their best, and everyone feels welcome every day. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaning Operative to help us maintain these high standards across our school.
Your Role
- Keep classrooms, corridors, toilets, offices, and shared spaces spotless and hygienic.
- Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests and handle emergency cleaning tasks when needed.
- Follow health and safety standards and infection control procedures at all times.
- Operate cleaning equipment responsibly and store materials securely.
- Support the team with deep cleaning during school holiday periods.

Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who can work both independently and as part of a team, with strong organisational skills and clear communication. You should be physically fit and able to carry out tasks that involve lifting and standing for extended periods. A commitment to safeguarding is essential, along with the ability to maintain professional boundaries when working in a school environment with children. Previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school or similar setting, would be advantageous, along with a good understanding of Health & Safety practices.
