About This Role
School Facilities Manager
Pickwick Academy School: St George’s CofE (VA), Primary School, St Gregory’s CofE (VA), Primary School, Milton on Stour CofE (VA) Primary School, Ludwell Primary School, All Saints CE VC Primary School and Wyke Primary School.
Salary: Dorset Grade 6, SPR 6-9, £25, 989 - £27,254 pro rata per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (all year round)
Working hours: 37 hours per week (split across all listed schools), all year round.
Working pattern: 8.30am to 12.00noon plus 12.30pm to 3.00pm

Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and reliable School Facilities Manager to take overall responsibility for the management, maintenance and security of the school site and its facilities. The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteachers and Trust Head of Facilities to ensure the premises are safe, compliant, well maintained and fully support the school’s educational aims. You will oversee repairs, contractors, health and safety compliance, security systems and statutory checks, while maintaining accurate records using the Trust’s compliance systems. The role also includes hands-on caretaking duties, supporting sustainability initiatives, and ensuring the grounds and buildings remain clean, secure and welcoming at all times. This is a key position requiring flexibility, strong organisational skills and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
This role is based at Pickwick Academy Trust and split across 6 schools (St George’s CofE (VA), Primary School, St Gregory’s CofE (VA), Primary School, Milton on Stour CofE (VA) Primary School, Ludwell Primary School, Coronation Close, All Saints CE VC Primary School and Wyke Primary School). There is an expectation that the successful candidate will also provide cover at other Trust sites as required, particularly to support during periods of leave or sickness absence.
