William Law CE Primary School is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic School Forum Member.
What is the School Forum?
The School Forum is part of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET) and exists to help our school live out its vision and values as a church school, acting as an anchor within the local community. Together, we work to support pupils, staff, parents, carers, and the wider community by listening to their voices and taking action.
Aspects of the Role
Core Responsibilities
As a Member, You’ll Help To:
- Champion Stakeholder Voices – Gather and share feedback from pupils, staff, parents, and the community to shape next steps.
- Strengthen Community & Church Links – Build relationships with local groups, charities, and the church to enrich the life of the school.
- Promote the School – Support marketing efforts to showcase achievements and attract new families.
- Advance Citizenship & Sustainability – Encourage environmental responsibility, social action, and pupil participation in eco-initiatives.

Pathways to Leadership
With full support from the School and Trust, you will learn to:
- Lead the School Forum – Provide clear direction, chair meetings effectively, and keep discussions focused on key priorities.
- Be a Critical Friend – Offer guidance and support to the Headteacher, helping to monitor:
- Safeguarding
- Equalities objectives
- Delegated Trust functions
- Represent the School – Participate in Trust panels for complaints, exclusions, and other delegated responsibilities.

Time Commitment
- 5 School Forum meetings per academic year
- Occasional Trust-level forums and community events (depending on the role).
