Kitchen Assistant – Part-Time Role (16 hours per week)
We’re seeking a motivated and passionate Kitchen Assistant to be the heart of our Chartwells operation on a part-time basis. You’ll join a team proud of what they do—delivering high-quality food, championing their brand, and most importantly, their people. About the Role
- Hours: 16 hours per week, contracted over 42.6 weeks per year (part-time)
- Shifts: Variable shifts
- Purpose: Represent Chartwells as an essential part of their mission to provide nutritious meals for pupils and students across schools, colleges, and universities.
Key Responsibilities
Every day, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our clients and customers consistently receive:
- Delicious, high-quality food prepared with care
- Strict adherence to cleanliness in kitchen and surrounding areas
- Safe operation of all machinery and equipment
- Efficient handling of deliveries (loading/unloading vehicles)
- Brand representation—maintaining a positive image for Chartwells
- Compliance with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
- Strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations
