Are you finishing school or college and looking to start a professional career rather than go to university? Do you enjoy working with numbers, solving problems, and helping people?
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic School Leaver Personal Tax Apprentice to join our growing Personal Tax team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a professional accountancy environment while studying towards a recognised tax qualification.
You will receive full training and support from experienced tax professionals as you develop the technical knowledge and professional skills needed for a successful career in taxation.
About the Role
As a Personal Tax Apprentice, you will work alongside our experienced team, assisting with a variety of personal tax matters for individuals, business owners, directors, landlords, and high-net-worth clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation of Self Assessment tax returns.
- Gathering and processing client information.
- Communicating with clients to obtain information and answer routine queries.
- Supporting tax compliance and administration processes.
- Assisting with correspondence with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).
- Maintaining accurate client records and documentation.
- Learning about UK personal taxation, tax planning, and compliance requirements.
- Supporting the wider tax team with a variety of assignments and projects.

What We Are Looking For
We are seeking someone who is:
- Eager to learn and develop a professional career.
- Organised with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with numbers and data.
- Able to communicate confidently and professionally.
- Enthusiastic and proactive with a positive attitude.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 7 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 6/B or above, including Maths and English.
- Predicted or achieved A-Levels (or equivalent qualifications).
- A genuine interest in tax, finance, or professional services.
