School Literacy Network Manager (Job ref: SLN003)

Salary: £21,000 – £24,000 (£42–£48,000 FTE based on 18.5 hours/week equivalent)

Hours: 18.5 hours per week (hybrid)

  • Term-time: 22.2 hours per week, over 3 days
  • School holidays: 7.4 hours per week, over 1 day The working pattern is averaged over the year to 18.5 hours/week. Final schedule will be agreed with the successful candidate. Commencement part-way through the financial year may require an adjusted pattern to meet contracted hours.

Location: Exeter Library & Home (hybrid) with travel across Southwest schools

Closing date: 9am, Friday 17th July 2026

Interview date: Thursday 23rd July 2026 at Cullompton Library

The Role

We are seeking a School Literacy Network Manager (SLN) to:

  • Oversee our School Literacy Network (SLN), supporting teachers, schools, and children via practical resources, leadership guidance, and community networks
  • Ensure growth of the network through marketing, professional development, and acquisition of member schools
  • Create and deliver high-quality classroom resources, trainings sessions (online or in-person), and network sessions for educators
  • Collaborate with internal teams to expand subscriber support and promote the network

Essential criteria include:

  • A passion for literacy and education, ideally with a teaching background
  • Ability to initiate and manage virtual and face-to-face events
