Why this role exists

Having built a specialised software platform to support the university application process, Blue Education is now focused on accelerating its adoption across the UK school sector.

Our primary objective is to place the tool with the right institutional partners, drive consistent engagement, and refine our go-to-market model through direct feedback. While commercial growth is a long-term goal, the immediate focus remains on maximizing school adoption and active platform usage.

As our first dedicated hire for school partnerships, you will be instrumental in transforming initial interest and existing network leads into a professional, scalable function that supports our broader expansion strategy.

The Role

We are looking for a School Partnerships Manager to drive adoption of Blue Education’s university applications platform across schools in the UK and selected international markets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Blue Education has developed software that helps schools support students through the university application process. The platform is already used internally and has been trialled by selected schools. Our ambition is for it to become a trusted platform that schools use to support university applications, progression planning and admissions preparation.

This is a hands-on B2B sales and partnerships role. You will be responsible for building a strong pipeline of schools, opening new relationships, running demos and webinars, managing school pilots, attending relevant events, and converting school interest into active platform adoption.

You will also play an important role in shaping how the product is positioned in the market. As schools use and trial the platform, you will gather feedback, identify commercial opportunities, and work closely with the leadership and product teams to refine our go-to-market approach.

This role would suit someone with strong experience selling to schools or education institutions, a good understanding of how schools make decisions, and the appetite to help build an early-stage ed-tech product into a widely adopted platform.

Responsibilities

School partnerships and new business:

  • Build and manage a pipeline of target schools across the UK and relevant international markets.
  • Identify and engage key decision-makers, including Heads of Sixth Form, Heads of Careers, university guidance counsellors, senior leaders and other relevant school stakeholders.
  • Generate new school partnerships through outbound outreach, warm introductions, events, conferences, webinars and demos.
  • Run sales conversations from initial outreach through to demo, pilot, onboarding and active school usage.
  • Represent Blue Education at school events, education conferences and sector networking opportunities.

Platform adoption and commercial growth:

  • Present the platform clearly to schools, showing how it supports students, teachers, careers teams and university guidance staff.
  • Drive adoption of the freemium model, encouraging schools to trial the platform and actively use its free features.
  • Build long-term relationships so the platform becomes embedded in schools’ university guidance and progression planning processes.
  • Identify opportunities to convert engaged schools into paid usage through advanced features, premium functionality and wider commercial relationships.

Product feedback and market insight:

  • Gather structured feedback from schools during demos, pilots and live usage.
  • Share insight on school buying behaviour, objections, priorities, pricing sensitivity and competitor activity.
  • Work with the product and leadership teams to improve product positioning, messaging and adoption.

Sales process and reporting:

  • Track outreach, conversations, demos, pilots, sign-ups, conversions and follow-ups through the company CRM.
  • Build repeatable outreach, demo, onboarding and follow-up processes.
  • Create practical sales materials, webinar formats and school-facing messaging that can be reused as the function grows.
  • Lay the foundations for a scalable school partnerships function, with the potential to support or lead a larger team over time.

What we are looking for

  • Around five years’ experience in B2B sales, school partnerships, education sales, ed-tech sales, business development or a closely related commercial role.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, open doors, manage follow-up and convert conversations into signed school partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of how schools make decisions, particularly around careers, university guidance, sixth form provision, student support or educational software.
  • Excellent presentation, demo and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility with school leaders and practical users.
  • Comfortable selling an early-stage product where school feedback will help shape future positioning and adoption.
  • Good commercial judgement, including the ability to understand how freemium adoption can lead to deeper engagement, paid features and wider revenue opportunities.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage a large pipeline of prospects, conversations and follow-ups.
  • Comfortable attending school meetings, conferences and events in person.
  • Resilient, target-driven and motivated by building something from an early stage.
  • Able to work closely with founders and senior leaders in a fast-moving environment.

What success looks like

Success in this role means building strong momentum with schools and turning early market interest into active platform adoption.

In the first phase, you will be expected to build a high-quality pipeline of school prospects, run effective demos, secure pilots and sign up schools to trial and use the platform.

Over time, success will mean increasing active school usage, converting engaged schools into paid opportunities, generating meaningful product feedback, and creating repeatable outreach and onboarding processes.

The strongest person in this role will help Blue Education sign up 100+ schools, build trusted relationships with school leaders, create qualified opportunities for tutoring and admissions consulting, and lay the commercial foundations for a future school partnerships team.

Compensation and benefits

  • Salary: £55,000–£65,000 base, depending on experience.
  • On-target earnings: £75,000–£85,000, including performance-related variable.
  • Variable compensation will be linked to school adoption, demos, pilots, active usage, pipeline quality and strategic school relationships.
  • Performance-based equity options, subject to company policy.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Paid annual leave and public holidays.
  • Travel expenses for school visits and relevant business development activity.
  • Conference and events budget.

If you are passionate about helping talented young people achieve their potential in the field of Chemistry, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity today!
