School School Cook/Unit Manager
Catering Supervisor (Part-Time)
Company: Compass Group UK & I – Chartwells
Chartwells is seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor to oversee culinary operations and customer service in a part-time capacity, working 22.5 hours per week (contracted to 43.8 weeks per year) as part of the Compass Group UK&I team.

This role entails delivering world-class catering and outstanding food experiences while managing front-of-house and service operations for schools and educational establishments. Shift patterns: Be available for flexibility based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
As a Catering Supervisor, you will:
- Prepare delicious food to the highest standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Supervise culinary and catering teams to maintain exceptional food and customer service.
- Monitor KPIs and targets in collaboration with your line manager.
- Represent Compass Group UK&I and uphold a positive brand image.
- Ensure seamless communication between customers, culinary teams, and service staff to exceed expectations.
- Train and develop teams, leading from the front to foster excellence.
- Implement and review Health & Safety standards for compliance in all catering teams.

Ideal Candidate Criteria
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced professional with:
- A minimum of two years’ catering experience.
- Experience in team management or supervisory roles within catering.
- A valid Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ambitious attitude with a desire to upskill and progress in the industry.
