We are seeking committed individuals from the local community and across all backgrounds to join our School Standards Boards (SSBs). As an SSB member, you’ll bring your unique perspectives, experiences, and expertise to improve educational outcomes for GLF Trust's students and families within Banbury.

The Opportunity

GLF Trust invites you to join one of the four School Standards Boards overseeing:

  • Cherry Fields Primary School
  • Hardwick Primary School
  • Longford Park Primary School
  • William Morris Primary School

Role fundamentals:

  • Time commitment: A four-year term (with the option to renew for a second term).

  • You’ll contribute to school development planning and ensure high standards through:

    • Six annual meetings (each lasting up to two hours).
    • Three mandatory school visits per year to observe operations, pose questions, and challenge leadership.
    • Monthly interaction with the Trust Board, translating insights from parents, staff, and the community.

No prior experience in education is required. The SSBs actively seek diverse perspectives, and training is mandatory and fully provided as part of this voluntary role.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
