Location: Reddish Hall School, Stockport, SK5 6UY Hours: 37.5 per week | Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Salary: £22,160.62 per annum (not pro rata) Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only Start Date: September 2026

About the Role

This role is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to daily impact the lives of young people through practical, emotional, and educational support. No two days are the same. Whether you’re:
- Enabling a breakthrough in a pupil’s learning
- Helping them navigate challenges and manage emotions
- Boosting their confidence to engage positively with the world around them
Your role will be critical in fostering a nurturing, structured environment where students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs can flourish.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll contribute to:
- Implementing Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Contributing to safeguarding culture, adhering to all policies and procedures
- Delivering structured learning activities, adjusting support to meet individual needs
- Using ICT to enhance students’ independence and digital competence
- Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and staff
- Promoting equality, inclusion, and acceptance for all pupils
- Supervising students during transitions and unstructured times
- Assisting in behaviour management strategies
- Actively shaping the ethos and work of the school

What We’re Looking for
We need a dedicated professional with:
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent qualification
- Experience supporting students in a school setting or strong grasp of supportive educational practices
- A solid understanding of restorative and trauma-informed approaches to behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Proficiency in monitoring, recording, and reporting student progress and wellbeing accurately and professionally
- Team spirit with a strong commitment to student success and the school’s values
- Driving licence (mandatory for this role)

We are a specialist independent day school in Stockport for pupils with SEMH needs, including diagnoses such as ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition), ADHD, and Dyslexia. In small, manageable classes, pupils gain:
