Catering Supervisor – Chartwells, Compass Group UK&I
About the Role
We're recruiting an experienced Catering Supervisor with a passion for exceptional food and world-class customer service, ready to confidently oversee all Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for Chartwells.
This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) role, contracted to 44 weeks per year, based at state schools.
Key Responsibilities
As a Catering Supervisor, you will:
- Prepare delicious food to the highest standards
- Supervise culinary and catering teams to ensure impeccable food and customer service
- Communicate regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and targets
- Represent Compass Group UK&I, maintaining a positive brand image
- Liaise between customers and our teams to exceed expectations
- Support and train staff while leading from the front to ensure excellence
- Implement and review Health & Safety standards for compliance

Requirements
Our ideal Catering Supervisor will have:
- Passion for great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
- Minimum of two years’ catering experience
- Proven team management experience in a similar role
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- Outstanding communication and organisational skills
- Ambition and motivation to constantly upskill
- Experience working in the education sector is desirable
