Schools and Families Minister
Schools & Families Minister – St Nicholas’ Church (Centenary Project, Diocese of Sheffield)
Join St Nicholas’ as the centrally employed Schools and Families Minister, part of the Diocese of Sheffield’s Centenary Project—a Christian-led opportunity to shape the future of local communities through faith, education, and family engagement.
About the Role
We are seeking a committed Christian with experience in working with schools and families to develop and coordinate savedผลการแปลงของพิมพ์:

- Volunteer recruitment and integration
- School community collaborations
This is a research-funded post supported by the National Church, currently active until the end of 2028, with a minimum 5-year commitment planned.
Key Responsibilities
- Forge meaningful connections with local schools, families, and community stakeholders
- Develop and nurture relationships with school staff, volunteers, and wider networks
- Promote faith-based engagement through leadership, education, and community initiatives
- Coordinate outreach activities, including volunteer support and children/youth ministry
- Engage as part of the Centenary Project Network—promoting Christian values and ukediom
- Foster a positive representation of St Nicholas’ and its mission in the local community

Job Details
- Hours: 25 hours per week (flexible within 20–25h) – Open to discussions about adjusting the schedule
- Salary: £18,241–£20,714 (full-time equivalent salary: £25,500–£29,000)
- Benefits:
- Annual salary review
- 10% employer pension contribution
- Generous holiday entitlement
- Fixed-term contract (5 years)
Requirements
Essential:
- An active practicing Christian, either a communicant member of the Church of England or a full member of a church in Churches Together in Britain and Ireland
- Demonstrated experience in school/community engagement, volunteer coordination, or family ministry
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to upholding Christian values in outreach
