About The Role

The UK Schools and Colleges Engagement team, based in the corporate marketing directorate, are recruiting for a Schools & Colleges Engagement Officer (HE Recruitment) on a fixed term basis to help deliver our Student Recruitment strategy.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-level, high-quality customer service to our stakeholders and partners
  • Successfully delivering a variety of student recruitment events (including taster days, workshops, talks and presentations) to our target audiences across our campuses, the East of England or occasionally wider afield (e.g. UCAS Fairs)
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining high quality working relationships between ARU and focus Sixth Forms and Colleges
  • Organising the logistics of on- and off-campus visits
  • Collecting, handling and utilising data to show impact and reasoning
  • Tracking against budgets
  • Building a strong network of colleagues within ARU and externally to support the successful delivery of the role

With a degree, or part qualified in a relevant professional qualification at degree level, or appropriate experience, you will be confident in developing, implementing, and maintaining high quality working relationships between ARU and your focus Sixth Forms and Colleges. You must be an innovative, creative thinker with an enthusiastic, proactive approach, demonstrating excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. You must be highly organised, with experience of working in a fast-paced environment, and it is important that you can develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds.

This role will be responsible for a designated geographical area:

Essex and North/East London - 37 hours per week, 18-month fixed-term contract, based at our Chelmsford campus

Candidates should live within a reasonable commuting distance of both their allocated campus and region, as regular travel to schools and colleges within the designated area will be required. Travel between campuses and regions will also be expected.
