Are you passionate about making science feel fun, accessible, and culturally rich? We are seeking imaginative creative storytellers to craft content that captures science in a way that is authentically relevant and meaningful to Black, Mixed, and Global Majority audiences.

What are we looking for?
About You
- Confidently present on camera and represent the organisation across social media platforms.
- Create STEM-related video content, including behind-the-scenes content, public engagement activities, interviews, events, and educational pieces.
- Able to spot content opportunities and translate trending topics, science news, and cultural conversations into content that resonates with our audience.
- Consistently produce one video per week, minimum, for our social media channels.
- Film in public settings and interact with members of the public where appropriate.
- A STEM degree is desirable but not essential

Core Skills
- Media production (video/audio): Creates engaging educational videos, and social media content that makes bioscience careers and opportunities accessible to students, researchers, and diverse communities.
- Photography: Captures high-quality images at events, outreach activities, and general day-to-day life to showcase STEM in the world alongside the organisation's work and enhance digital storytelling.
- Public speaking: Delivers presentations, hosts workshops, and confidently represent BioSci Toolkit on camera while engaging and inspiring students and the general community.
Ideally we would like minimum 3 years in one of these skills.

At BioSci Toolkit CIC, our mission is to break down barriers to science, champion representation, and create accessible pathways for the next generation of STEM leaders. Through mentorship, skills development, community building, and career support, we empower students and early-career professionals from Black, Mixed, and Global Majority backgrounds to thrive and lead with confidence.

However, to support our mission, we are in need of science content creators. We want to recruit a dynamic and experienced science content creator, who can use their knowledge, skills, and creative flare to transform how we communicate science in an engaging, accessible, and culturally responsive manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Creative Content Creation: Design, edit, and produce engaging, high-quality public science content across your chosen medium (video, art, photography, or animation), with video production and on-camera presenting highly desirable.
- Cultural Resonance: Translate intricate scientific or STEM concepts into stories, visual metaphors, or audio hooks that resonate authentically with Black, Mixed, and Global Majority cultures and lived experiences.
- Brand Expression: Maintain alignment with the BioSci Toolkit brand identity, using our brand voice.
- Team Collaboration: Actively participate in brief creative brainstorms with our wider digital team to support national campaign updates or awareness days.
We would ideally want minimum 3 years experience in one of the skills areas listed please.
