About the Role

Are you passionate about empowering students in London’s thriving education sector? Capital City College Group, one of the UK’s largest further education providers in London, is seeking a Skilled Science Lecturer to teach on the Level 3 Diploma in the Principles & Practice of Pharmacy Assistant Technology at our Regents Park Campus.

This role offers a part-time, hourly-based opportunity to shape the next generation of medical professionals while contributing to a vibrant learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality vocational teaching across a variety of occupational units for Pharmacy Technician (Level 3).
  • Serve as a course tutor and personal tutor to support students’ academic and personal development.
  • Design, prepare, and update teaching materials in line with latest industry standards.
  • Assess student progress, monitor attendance, and utilise Smart Assessor for tracking and feedback.
  • Integrate English and Maths into vocational teaching to enhance employability skills.
  • Engage with learners and maintain positive academic progression in a highly inclusive setting.
  • Collaborate with faculty to ensure curriculum alignment and continuous improvement.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Essential:

    • Strong passion for science, healthcare, or vocational education.
    • Experience or demonstrated ability in teaching, coaching, or instructional support.
    • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines efficiently.
    • Clear, professional communication skills with students and colleagues.
    • Proactive attitude and willingness to adapt to new methodologies.
  • Desirable:

    • Qualified teacher status (QTS), teaching certification, or relevant vocational training.
    • Hands-on experience in pharmacy, healthcare, or technical support fields.
    • Experience in using VLEs (e.g., Smart Assessor) for learner engagement.
