Secondary Science Teacher: Norwich and Surrounding Areas

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 across all three main disciplines (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics).
- Promote safe laboratory practices and foster a curious, inquiry-based learning environment where pupils feel confident tackling scientific concepts and practical investigations.
- Adapt learning materials to support both struggling students and high-achievers looking for a stretch in STEM subjects.
- For long-term roles: plan, prepare, and assess student work, participate in departmental planning, and contribute to parent consultations.
What We Look For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or equivalent science teaching qualifications.
- A degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a closely related scientific field, paired with strong curriculum knowledge.
- Confident classroom management skills and the ability to keep secondary learners motivated and on-task in both classroom and laboratory settings.
- An adaptable, proactive approach, ready to hit the ground running in vibrant secondary environments.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one).
