Science Teaching Assistant - Aspiring Science Teacher
An Outstanding Secondary School in Southwark are seeking a Science Teaching Assistant and aspiring Science Teacher who they can train throughout the year as a Science Teaching Assistant, working specifically within KS3, KS4 and KS5 Science Lessons.
You will work closely with pupils both in class on a 1:1 and group level, as well as outside of the classroom providing group interventions.
This excellent school is in the top 1% in the UK for their progress 8 score, as well as being in the top 2% for Science results at GCSE & A Level. They have impressive Science classrooms and labs and work closely with prestigious universities. The Head of Science oversees curriculum and exam writing for AQA and another member of the team is the lead science teacher trainer for 150+ schools!

ROLE DETAILS
Science Teaching Assistant
- Working specifically within Science lessons.
- Supporting in class, as well as out of class with interventions
- Working across KS3 & KS4 + KS5 1:1 support bi-weekly
- Permanent Contract - £26,000 - £29,000 per annum, rising to £42,000 once qualified
- Opportunity for SALARIED Teacher Training (no fees!)
- Start September 2026

- STEM Graduate with a 1st class or 2:1 degree
- Strong academics are essential
