Science Trainee Teacher – Salaried / Funded Training
Are you a high-achieving Science graduate keen on a career in teaching?
If so, EdEx are working with a Good & Outstanding Secondary School on the outskirts of Slough who are looking for a Science graduate. The role would see you initially start as an academic mentor, supporting Science classes and delivering independent interventions before embarking on funded teacher training from September 2027.
Job Description
September 2026: Teaching Assistant Role
- Start as a teaching assistant, supporting Science classes across the school (from KS3 to KS5)
- Deliver interventions to encourage progress, targeting individual needs and ensuring students achieve the best outcomes
- Gradually build a teaching timetable with full support from a mentor through mentoring
- Daily rate: £115

July 2027: Moving to Unqualified Teacher
- Become a permanent member of staff as an unqualified teacher with pay during summer holidays!
- Training salary: £30,000+
September 2027: Fully Funded & Salaried Teacher Training
- Begin a **fully funded ulator> objectives
- Receive full teacher training, developing you into an outstanding teacher
- By July 2027, receive Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have a job lined up for the following September

Person Specification
Applicants must have:
- A 1st class or 2:1 degree from a reputable university
- An aspiring Teacher mindset
- Strong academic background at A-Level and GCSE
- Confident, enthusiastic and resilient personality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
