Magdalen Medical Publishing (MMP)
Magdalen Medical Publishing (MMP) is a digital publisher of online, independent, open-access medical news and education for healthcare professionals (HCPs) via our video journals, including VJHemOnc, VJOncology, and VJNeurology. In addition, we also develop and organize in-person scientific workshops and virtual webinars via our events arm, Magdalen Scientific.
We provide HCPs with trustworthy, rapid, accessible updates in their field. Our goal is to improve understanding of the clinical landscape, empowering healthcare professionals to deliver the best quality care and improve the lives of patients worldwide.
The role
MMP is looking to hire a Scientific Administration Executive to support the delivery of scientific events and content across the business, with a primary focus on operational and administrative coordination. This role works closely with the Scientific Lead to execute event logistics, manage communications, and ensure smooth delivery of scientific programmes. In addition, the role contributes to publishing workflows by supporting the preparation and dissemination of event-related content across journals and platforms.
What you’ll do
Events & Scientific Coordination
- Support planning and delivery of international workshops and webinars
- Coordinate schedules, agendas, and speaker logistics
- Manage communications with faculty, committees, and internal teams
- Track timelines, deadlines, and deliverables for event execution

Administrative Support
- Handle day-to-day administrative tasks associated with events and scientific activities
- Organise meetings, take notes, and follow up on actions
- Maintain accurate records of speaker information, agendas, and materials
- Support internal processes to ensure efficient workflow across teams
Publishing & Content Support
- Assist with publishing event-related content across journals and platforms
- Upload and manage content, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Support basic editing and formatting of scientific materials
- Help ensure timely dissemination of meeting outputs
Website & Platform Updates
- Make updates to event and journal pages as required
- Ensure information is accurate, current, and aligned with programme changes
- Support integration of event content into wider publishing workflows
Cross-Team Support
- Work closely with editorial, events, and commercial teams
- Provide flexible support where needed across scientific and operational activities
- Assist in ensuring alignment between event delivery and publishing output
Requirements
- Degree in a life sciences discipline (e.g. biomedical science, biology, pharmacology or similar)
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Strong foundational understanding of medical/scientific concepts, with the ability to interpret and work with scientific content
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously
- Comfortable handling scheduling, coordination, and logistical planning across complex projects
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication
- Confidence communicating with internal teams, external stakeholders, and senior faculty (KOLs)
- Ability to draft and manage email communications independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Comfortable updating websites or content management systems (CMS)
- Able to learn new platforms and tools quickly
- Proactive and self-motivated, able to anticipate needs and take initiative, rather than relying on direction.
- Knowledge of event management software including Zoom and Cvent (preferable, but not essential).

Location
This role is a remote role, with travel to the London office required at least once per month.
