🚀 We're Hiring: Scientific Director | Healthcare Communications

In a world where breakthrough medicines and technologies are transforming patient outcomes, our clients communicate the science behind those innovations with clarity, credibility, and impact. Our client, a leading independent medical communications agency, partners with leading healthcare organisations to develop compelling scientific and promotional communications across a range of therapy areas.

They're now looking for an experienced Scientific Director to join their growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic scientific leader who thrives on translating complex science into meaningful stories, building trusted client partnerships, and shaping high-quality communications that make a real difference.

🔬 What you'll be doing:

  • Acting as the scientific lead across key client accounts and therapy areas
  • Providing authoritative scientific expertise and strategic guidance
  • Owning and overseeing scientific content to ensure excellence, accuracy, and consistency
  • Leading complex scientific discussions, client meetings, and workshops
  • Collaborating closely with Client Services, Creative, Editorial, and Strategy teams
  • Supporting business growth through pitches, proposals, and new client opportunities
  • Mentoring and guiding writers while maintaining hands-on involvement in content development

✅ We're looking for someone with:

  • A degree in a relevant life science discipline (postgraduate qualification or PhD advantageous)
  • Significant experience within a healthcare communications agency environment across promotional/commercial and/or medical affairs deliverables
  • A strong background in medical writing and scientific content development
  • Strategic thinking and a consultative approach to client relationships
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • A genuine passion for science and healthcare communications
