Scientific peer review is work.

  • It takes expertise
  • It takes years of training
  • It takes time
  • It creates enormous value for science

For decades, peer review has relied almost entirely on the goodwill of researchers. We believe that expertise deserves recognition, and professional work deserves professional compensation.

Our mission is to build a peer review ecosystem where every completed review is fairly compensated.

About ScholaRevs

ScholaRevs is building a global professional peer review network for scientific journals.

Every day, millions of hours of highly specialized scientific work are donated through peer review. We believe this system is no longer sustainable. Our vision is simple: every completed peer review should be fairly compensated.

Compensation

Once the platform launches, every reviewer will be paid for completing academic peer-review reports through ScholaRevs. Compensation will vary based on reviewer expertise, experience, scientific impact, and review quality, but our long-term goal is simple: professional peer review should no longer rely on unpaid work.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This is an Expression of Interest

This is not an immediate reviewing position. We are currently building our first international Founding Reviewer Cohort and are inviting researchers worldwide to join before the official platform launch.

Founding reviewers will receive early access to the platform and priority consideration as ScholaRevs establishes partnerships with scientific journals. Selected applicants will be invited to create their reviewer profile as the ScholaRevs platform is gradually rolled out. Founding reviewers will receive priority access to future paid peer review assignments as the platform expands.
