Location: Wokingham, Berkshire
Are you ready to start your career in laboratory science? CEMAS is seeking a motivated Junior Scientist to join our Agrochemicals and Biocides Products team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic, regulated analytical environment.
The Role
You will be involved in a wide range of physical and chemical testing activities, delivering high-quality analytical data for our clients. Working with increasing independence, you will:
- Perform routine laboratory analyses accurately and on schedule
- Record, evaluate and interpret data to a high standard
- Work closely with Study Directors, Section Management and analytical colleagues to meet project objectives
- Contribute to maintaining GLP compliance and laboratory best practice

What We Are Looking For
Essential:
- A minimum of a BSc in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline
- Practical laboratory experience and sound basic skills (e.g. weighing, pipetting, solution preparation)
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines
- Self-motivation and the ability to use initiative
- Good numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication

Desirable:
- Experience of chromatographic techniques (HPLC and/or GC)
- Basic understanding of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
- Previous experience within the agrochemical or biocides sector
