Scientist I Analytical (new grad, entry level)
Senior Analytical Scientist – Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Analysis
As a member of the Analytical Sciences team, you will take responsibility for all aspects of the analysis of pharmaceutical and healthcare samples, utilising techniques such as LC-MS, GC-MS, and ICP-MS. The team specialises in cGMP analysis of final products, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), and excipients, with a focus on impurity identification, method development, validation, and troubleshooting for sponsors.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to laboratory SOPs, ensuring cGMP compliance in record keeping and procedures.
- Deliver right-first-time analytical data according to agreed schedules, employing techniques such as LC-MS, GC-MS, and other separation methods.
- Provide verbal and written reports, both internally (e.g., to colleagues) and externally (e.g., for clients).
- Engage in data review and process improvements to strengthen analytical workflows.
- Contribute to the Quality Assurance programme, including laboratory audits, Scientific Investigations, and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).

Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- Degree or higher in analytical chemistry, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings clearly.
- Ability to manage complex data sets and maintain meticulous organisation.
- Attention to detail in executing tasks with precision, as required for regulatory compliance.

Preferred
- Previous experience in a regulated (GxP) environment, such as pharmaceuticals or biotech.
- Problem-solving drive, capable of adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
