About Sygnature Discovery

At Sygnature Discovery, we create exceptional scientific outcomes. For our customers, who bring life-changing medicines to patients; and for our people, who help make this possible.

We’re 700+ scientists from over 50 countries, working as one across Europe and North America. With no competing internal programs, we offer total confidentiality and commitment.

Over the past 20 years, we’ve earned a track record of real impact: 60+ advanced candidates, 250 patents filed, 200+ active projects. Over 90% of our customers choose to stay with us – from biotechs racing to clinic to pharma companies that need specialised expertise for targeted challenges.

About The Role

Our Protein Science team specialises in the engineering, expression and purification of tailored proteins across a wide range of protein classes for applications including biochemical screening, biophysics, diagnostics and biologics drug discovery. We also have a dedicated team of scientists carrying out structural studies using X-ray crystallography, Cryo-EM and protein NMR, giving you the opportunity to work alongside experts across multiple disciplines using cutting-edge technologies.

Due to continued growth, we're looking for Scientists and Senior Scientists to join our Protein Science team at our Tytherington site in Macclesfield. We're looking for curious and passionate scientists with hands-on experience in either protein expression, purification and structural determination. Experience in protein engineering and biophysical or structural characterisation techniques would be an advantage.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
