About The Team And What We Do

The Screening department is the first stage in the NMC’s fitness to practise process. You will be part of a small legal team where you will consider the concerns raised about our registrants, advising whether regulatory action is required or if further information is needed before a decision can be made. This is a key role in helping us to ensure the public is well protected.

Your role and impact

We are recruiting for multiple 12-month fixed term Screening Case Holders to join our dynamic and innovative department. The successful candidates will be responsible for the case management of a range of complex and challenging cases through the initial stages of Fitness to Practise. You will be key in communicating and engaging with internal and external stakeholders, delivering high standards of customer care and puts people at the heart of what we do. Case Holders will work with stakeholders to obtain relevant information and evidence that will enable Screening Decision Makers to assess whether regulatory action is required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
