Scrub Nurse
Scrub Nurse – Optegra Eye Hospital (North London)
We are looking for an experienced Scrub Nurse to join our prestigious private eye hospital in London’s Colindale, a growing business with a strong commitment to personal and professional development.

About the Role
The successful candidate will play a critical role in our ophthalmic surgical pathway, providing skilled clinical and technical assistance within the operating theatre.
You will assist with:
- Surgical and refractive procedures
- Pre-, peri- and post-operative care
- Minor operations support
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate patient care, ensuring privacy, dignity, and adherence to trust policies.
- Anticipate surgical requirements, supplying correct instrumentation and maintaining sterile procedures.
- Decontamination and sterilisation of equipment, including proper disposal procedures.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation for traceability.

- Registered General Nurse or Qualified Operating Department Practitioner (ODP)
- Current NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) or ODP registration with no restrictions
- Qualification/experience in Ophthalmology or Peri-operatory Care
- At least 1 year of experience in ophthalmic surgical theatre environments
- Strong IT and Microsoft Office skills (Windows-based systems)
- Knowledge of NMC Professional Code of Conduct and awareness of CQC standards
