Job Title: Scrub Nurse - Orthopaedic Surgery
Department: Theatre Hours: 37.5 hours per week (including evening and weekend shifts) Salary: £41,400.28 per annum Reports to: Theatre Manager Location: Harding Avenue, Newport, Wales

Duties and Responsibilities
The Scrub Nurse will be responsible for ensuring the theatre environment meets rigorous standards. Primary tasks include:
- Actively embodying the hospital’s organisational values
- Working flexibly, collaboratively, and efficiently to support surgical teams
- Maintaining high attention to detail to promote safety and quality care
- Contributing knowledgeable insights to enhance departmental and organisational standards
- Demonstrating initiative and a positive, professional demeanour
Requirements
Essential Criteria
- Professional qualification in Nursing or Operating Department Practice
- Valid NMC/HCPC registration
- Relevant work experience within orthopaedics or a similar surgery-focused role
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to professional development
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
