Location: Hybrid working between our head office in Worthing and home

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Salary: Up to £70,000 depending on skills and experience

About The Role

We're looking for 2 Scrum Masters to join our growing Automation, Digital and Process Improvement capability at Southern Water.

These are exciting opportunities to help shape the way we deliver technology and process change across the business. As a Scrum Master, you'll act as a servant leader for agile delivery teams, helping to remove obstacles, drive continuous improvement and ensure our teams are set up to deliver value effectively and sustainably.

Role

While both roles share a common focus on agile delivery, stakeholder engagement and enabling high-performing teams, they support different areas of our transformation agenda:

  • Scrum Master – Automation & Process Engineering: Supporting the delivery of automation and process improvement initiatives, working closely with developers, process engineers and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and improve operational efficiency.
  • Scrum Master – Data Products & Platforms: Supporting digital delivery teams responsible for customer, operational or enterprise technology solutions, helping teams deliver scalable products and services that improve outcomes for customers and colleagues.

Whichever team you join, you'll play a key role in fostering agile ways of working, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, managing dependencies and helping teams continuously improve their performance and delivery capability.

Essential

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Facilitating agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives
  • Coaching teams in agile principles, practices and continuous improvement
  • Identifying and removing impediments that impact delivery
  • Working closely with Product Owners and business stakeholders to ensure priorities and objectives are clearly understood
  • Supporting delivery planning, progress tracking and reporting through tools such as Jira and related agile toolsets
  • Helping teams manage risks, dependencies and delivery challenges
  • Promoting collaboration across business and technology teams
  • Driving adoption of agile best practice and fostering a culture of transparency, accountability and learning

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
