Scope
Akkodis has an opportunity for a Scrum Master to support the delivery of Agile software solutions within a complex engineering and technology environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for embedding and sustaining Scrum practices across software development teams, enabling efficient, high-quality delivery aligned to programme objectives.

Role
The Software Scrum Master will play a key role in enabling Agile software delivery within a complex, regulated engineering programme. The role will involve facilitating Scrum practices, supporting development teams, removing blockers, and ensuring Agile principles are applied effectively to support the delivery of high-quality software.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Coach and support software development teams in the application of Agile and Scrum principles.
- Remove impediments and blockers to delivery, working with stakeholders to resolve technical, organisational or process-related issues.
- Support product backlog management in collaboration with the Product Owner, ensuring clarity, prioritisation and readiness of user stories.
- Promote transparency and visibility of progress, risks and dependencies through Agile metrics and reporting.
- Act as the primary interface between the Scrum team and programme stakeholders.
- Encourage quality-focused delivery practices, including definition of done, continuous integration and adherence to agreed engineering standards.

Required Experience
- Proven experience operating as a Scrum Master within Agile software development environments.
- Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile frameworks, with the ability to apply them within complex programmes.
- Experience supporting multi-disciplinary engineering or software teams.
- Experience within regulated, defence, aerospace, engineering or complex technology environments would be beneficial.
Required Skills
- Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve delivery risks and impediments effectively.
- Confident working with technical software teams.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to maintain delivery visibility across teams and stakeholders.
Required Education
- Scrum Master certification, such as PSM, CSM, SAFe or equivalent Agile qualification.
- Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical, software or engineering discipline.
