Scrum Master
Scrum Master – Cybersecurity Delivery Team
Location: Manchester, Lancashire, UK | Role Type: Onsite

About the Role
We thrive in a dynamic cyber landscape, dedicated to safeguarding nations from emerging threats. As a Scrum Master, you’ll lead fast, secure delivery and accelerate our ability to analyze and respond to evolving risks.
You’ll work within a flexible, collaborative, and empowering environment that values innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement. Your role will directly support our global mission of maximum threat reduction by helping high-performing Agile teams deliver impactful solutions.
Licensed due to the nature of the work, all hires must currently hold eDV security clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate key Scrum events and conduct regular team health checks to ensure alignment and effectiveness.
- Embed Agile principles across teams and the broader organization, fostering cultural adoption.
- Coach resistant stakeholders toward true Agile alignment, integrating feedback to enhance processes.
- Define value-driven delivery tailored to your team’s context, guiding them in breaking work into high-impact increments.
- Proactively identify and remove impediments, encouraging creative problem-solving.
- Support teams in maturing Agile practices, enabling stronger collaboration and delivery.
- Empower teams to solve problems independently, balancing structure with autonomy.
- Mediate conflicts and facilitate negotiations to align diverse perspectives.
- Build cross-team collaboration, strengthening relationships and trust.
- Partner with the Product Owner to refine backlog prioritization, product goals, and strategic vision.
- Act as an Agile coach and advocate, mentoring teams and advancing best practices.
- Continuously champion major improvements, driven by data, feedback, and innovation.

Who Are We Looking For?
- Strong facilitation and coaching skills—capable of guiding complex, sometimes resilient teams through change.
- Proven Agile experience (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid methodologies) with a track record of successful delivery.
- Deep knowledge of Agile fundamentals, with experience driving team performance and scaling Agile across organizations.
- Ability to influence without direct authority—positioning you to shape change from within.
- Scrum certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, Professional Scrum Master) is preferred but not strictly required if experience is compelling.
- A commitment to learning, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing, demonstrated through internal Communities of Practice.
- Tech-savviness: Applied understanding of software development models and emerging cutting-edge trends.
- Diplomatic intelligence to manage stakeholders, balance diverse needs, and cultivate strong working relationships.
- Passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and helping teams grow.
