Scrum Master - Products Data Exchange

Role Summary

Aubay UK is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support the Products Data Exchange (PDE) programme within the company's Trading & Supply organisation. This position will play a key role in enabling Agile delivery across cross-functional teams responsible for cloud-based data platforms, data migration initiatives, and data modernisation programmes.

The successful candidate will embody an Agile mindset and coaching approach, helping teams continuously improve their ways of working while fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous learning. Experience within data ingestion, migration programmes, and Databricks-based environments will be highly beneficial.

Working closely with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, UX teams, Project Managers, Platform Leads, and business stakeholders, the Scrum Master will facilitate effective Agile delivery, improve team performance, manage dependencies and impediments, and ensure alignment between strategic objectives and execution.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master supporting Agile product and technology teams
  • Strong expertise in Lean-Agile principles, Scrum, Kanban, and Agile coaching practices
  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies, workshops, and retrospectives
  • Demonstrated ability to coach teams undergoing Agile transformation and maturity improvements
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Engineering, UX, and Project Management
  • Strong understanding of Agile metrics, leading indicators, lagging indicators, and team performance measurements
  • Experience identifying and removing impediments, risks, and dependencies across multiple teams
  • Knowledge of software delivery lifecycles including ideation, design, development, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps
  • Experience producing Agile management reporting and Jira-based project tracking
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
  • Ability to create psychologically safe team environments that promote collaboration and innovation
  • Experience supporting Team of Teams or scaled Agile delivery environments

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Domain knowledge of data ingestion and data migration programmes
  • Experience working with Databricks platforms and cloud-based data solutions
  • Experience within enterprise data platform, analytics, or cloud modernisation initiatives
  • Experience facilitating value stream mapping, story mapping, and Product Alignment workshops
  • Familiarity with large-scale Agile frameworks and Team of Teams delivery models
  • Strong understanding of organisational change and Agile transformation programmes
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and influencing skills
  • Experience within Energy Trading, Commodities, or Enterprise Data environments

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
  • Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I)
  • Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II)
  • Professional Scrum Master III (PSM III)
  • Certified Scrum Professional (CSP)
  • Certified Team Coach (CTC)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Embody an Agile mindset and experimental approach, balancing support and constructive challenge to drive continuous improvement
  • Mentor teams transitioning to Agile methodologies and modern ways of working
  • Coach cross-functional teams to optimise Agile practices, improve feedback loops, and eliminate waste
  • Contribute actively to the Agile Community of Practice, promoting Lean-Agile principles and best practices
  • Facilitate discovery and definition activities across product, engineering, UX, and project management teams
  • Lead Team of Teams ceremonies, workshops, and retrospectives
  • Facilitate Story Mapping, Value Stream Mapping, Scrum of Scrums, Product Alignment, and related Agile events
  • Ensure synchronisation between Team-level and Team of Teams delivery cadences
  • Monitor and report on Lean and Kanban metrics, including leading and lagging indicators
  • Identify, manage, and raise visibility of programme-level risks, dependencies, and impediments
  • Produce and support Agile reporting including Jira queries, delivery tracking, and planned versus earned value reporting
  • Foster psychological safety and collaborative team environments
  • Conduct agility maturity assessments and support measurable continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work closely with platform leadership to align delivery execution with strategic objectives
  • Coach team members and support healthy, high-performing team dynamics
  • Drive continuous learning, collaboration, and delivery excellence across Agile teams
