📍 London (E1) or Sheffield City Centre or Lincoln City Centre | Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
We'll build the full SDR team around the successful hire, so the location is genuinely flexible between our three office hubs.
The opportunity
Goodlord's mission is to become the gold standard platform for renting and we're looking for an SDR Lead to build our Sales Development function from the ground up.
Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, this is a true 'blank canvas' role with no pre-existing playbook. You will architect the strategy, source the tools, and hire a brand-new early careers team who will be the future of commercial talent at Goodlord!
- Build the SDR function from the ground up, creating the strategy, playbook, processes and team rather than inheriting someone else's.
- Experiment with tooling, automation and AI to help the team work smarter, generate better conversations and create more pipeline.
- Balance both Enterprise and Mid-Market outbound motions, helping us figure out what great looks like across different customer segments.
- Play a key role in shaping one of Goodlord's most important growth functions, with the freedom to test ideas, move quickly and make a genuine impact.
What We Need From You
The most important part of this role is coaching, mentorship and leadership. We need a leader who genuinely loves nurturing raw talent e.g. graduates, school & college and transforming them into high-performing commercial professionals.
- Essential Early-Careers Coaching: A proven track record of managing, mentoring, and developing inexperienced hires, building their confidence and core commercial skills.
- B2B SaaS SDR Experience: Significant experience within a B2B SaaS sales development environment, including time spent as a Team Lead, Senior SDR, or Player-Coach.
- A Builder Mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity and highly motivated to create order, strategies, and playbooks where none exist.
- Tech-Savvy Outlook: Deep familiarity with tools like Salesforce/HubSpot and Outreach/Salesloft, paired with a genuine enthusiasm for AI sales automation

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Note: Whilst you won't carry an individual quota, this isn't a role for someone who wants to manage from the sidelines. We need a leader who is happy to demonstrate what good looks like and help a brand-new team develop into high-performing SDRs.
It Would Also Be Great If You Have
- Prior experience navigating the fast-paced environment of a rapidly evolving scale-up.
- An awareness or understanding of the PropTech sector.
