Sea Logistics Export Customer Care Specialist – Newcastle, UK

As a member of the Freight Forwarding team at Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in transporting goods across the world—optimising processes and fulfilling customers’ promises. Your work ensures that essential items, from medicines to toys to critical machinery parts, reach those who need them. We are looking for a Sea Logistics Export Customer Care Specialist to join our office in Newcastle. This role focuses on direct customer interaction, proactive service delivery, problem-solving, and ensuring a positive experience for every Kuehne+Nagel client. You will be responsible for documenting and investigating any deviations from expected service levels and implementing improvements.
How You Create Impact
- Ensure all customer requests are completed on time and to the pre-defined service levels and standard operating procedures, meeting KPI requirements.
- Deliver service excellence by leveraging deep forwarding and market knowledge.
- Document and investigate any service deviations and conduct root cause analysis using our systems (CoreLog, NPS).
- Work closely with Sales teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding and retention.
- Manage the claims process, from reporting to closure.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal standards across operations.
- Participate in workshops and conference calls as required.
- Continuously analyse customer feedback to identify opportunities for system improvements.
