Customer Care Specialist - Freight Forwarding Team (Kuehne+Nagel)

The Role: Customer Care Specialist
You’ll be part of a Customer Care Location (CCL) team, directly supporting:
- Customer interactions: Proactive service, problem-solving, and ongoing follow-ups
- Collaboration with sales for query resolution
- Ensuring Operational Care Centres (OCCs) have the right information to execute seamlessly
Your duties revolve around delivering exceptional customer experiences, documenting service deviations, and managing everything through the KN Customer Care system.
How You’ll Create Impact
- Deliver outstanding customer service—handling all requests efficiently within SLAs and KPIs
- Proactively monitor shipments, updating customers and resolving issues before escalation
- Build strong customer relationships by being the primary point of contact for inquiries, quotes, and support
- Investigate complaints, pinpoint root causes, and coordinate resolutions with internal teams
- Collaborate with OCCs, Sales, and Account Management for seamless service delivery
- Support customer onboarding—accurately capturing requirements and implementing new business
- Report and analyse performance to identify continuous improvement opportunities for enhanced customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements while maintaining accurate records

Who You Are
We’re looking for a customer-focused professional with relevant experience in:
- Freight forwarding, logistics, transportation planning, or customer service (ideally in sea logistics)
- Strong passion for exceptional service and building long-term customer relationships
Performance-critical skills include:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities—collaborating across teams
- Organisational prowess with rigorous time management to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Problem-solving expertise to investigate issues and develop effective solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
