Search & AI Content Executive
We're Updraft – the app for smarter credit. Our mission: Credit that lifts you. We help people pay off costly borrowing, spend wisely, and build confidence with money.
Over a million people have joined us. We've helped pay off more than £750 million in credit card and overdraft debt. Our members rate us Excellent on Trustpilot.
Updraft is for credit-worthy people clearing expensive borrowing or funding a life upgrade. Our members are in their late twenties to early forties, employed, building something. We're not a crisis brand. Writing for audience means respect, not rescue.
How people find financial products is changing. Search engines still matter, but many now ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude for recommendations. This role sits in the middle of that shift.
You'll make sure Updraft shows up well wherever people search. That's traditional SEO (blog content, on-page work, technical foundations) alongside GEO: generative engine optimisation. Building content that earns Updraft a place in AI answers.
A recent graduate or equivalent with the right curiosity will do brilliantly here. The field is months old. Nobody has ten years of GEO experience. What matters is that you're inquisitive, can write clearly & succinctly, and you want to learn.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
