About The Role

As a Search & Discoverability strategist at Bernadette, you’ll contribute to the development and delivery of strategies that help our clients show in the new landscape of AI-led discovery.

Working within a cross-functional team, you will have the opportunity to shape how brands are found, understood and recommended across search engines and AI interfaces.

Key to success in the role will be your ability to translate complex visibility signals into clear strategic opportunities and to turn those into practical recommendations that improve digital experience performance. This role would be ideal for an experienced strategist with a strong foundation in SEO, content or digital experience strategy, who is able to think ‘beyond SEO’ to consider the bigger brand opportunities AI-led discovery can unlock.

As a Search & Discoverability strategist, on a typical day, you might be doing a number of these activities:

  • Conducting holistic audits of brand visibility across search and AI platforms, identifying where and why brands are (or aren’t) appearing in answers
  • Using our internal suite of tools alongside qualitative analysis to extract meaningful insights, not just report outputs
  • Spotting opportunities across the wider ecosystem
  • Producing strategic audits that synthesise findings into themes and opportunities, and prioritise recommendations
  • Translating visibility insights into owned-channel actions, such as improvements to content strategy, site structure, experience journeys, and on-site authority signals
  • Working with UX and design teams to ensure AI-discovery specific recommendations are grounded in user experience, and not just content volume
  • Developing frameworks, roadmaps, and measurement approaches that connect AI visibility to business outcomes
  • Supporting client teams in understanding how AI discovery is changing customer behaviour and expectations
  • Independently facilitating working sessions to align internal teams and clients around priorities and next steps

About You

You are a strategist with 4+ years of experience in SEO, content strategy, digital experience, or related fields, with a proven track record of delivering insight-led recommendations

  • You have a strong understanding of how brands show up across modern search and AI-driven interfaces, and you are curious about where this landscape is heading
  • You are naturally analytical, comfortable working across multiple information sources and forming clear points of view from imperfect signals
  • You can distil complexity into structured, client-ready narratives and produce high-quality audit documents that lead to action
  • You are collaborative, comfortable working with diverse stakeholders across strategy, UX, data, and delivery teams
  • You are keen to play a role across the full lifecycle, from research to diagnosis, through to roadmapping and execution support
  • You are confident presenting your thinking to senior internal teams and clients, and able to bring clarity to an emerging and often overhyped space
