Search Engine Optimisation Executive
Role Purpose
Jaywing are seeking bright, self-motivated individuals looking to progress their careers in Organic Search alongside a team of professionals. This exciting opportunity will enable a relatively new SEO professional the chance to collaborate with some of the UK’s biggest brands in a forward-thinking, award-winning search agency.
The ideal candidate will have existing knowledge of on-page optimisation (both technical & content optimisation) and be eager to grow their expertise by immersing themselves in advanced, strategic SEO through collaboration with senior team members.
As a people-first agency, the successful applicant should embody a passion for working with others, tailoring their approach to diverse personalities, and always engaging empathetically.
As a data-centric agency, a strong belief in the power of data and insight is essential. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to join a business that creatively leverages data to drive client performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting SEO Analysts and Managers in conducting:
- Web architecture audits
- Content audits
- Technical website audits
- Conducting keyword research and targeting
- Executing tasks aligned with client SEO strategies, including:
- On-site optimisations
- Earned media strategies (with guidance from senior team members)
- Monitoring and refining client tactics based on performance data
- Providing clear reporting of results with measurable KPIs for every client
- Continuously expanding knowledge of the search landscape and adjusting strategies to improve outcomes
- Collaborating effectively with a team in both in-person and remote settings

Skills Required
- Existing SEO knowledge/experience (minimum 1 year+), including industry learnings from education
- Demonstrated initiative, motivation, and drive
- Ability to:
- Work independently (self-direction)
- Thrrive in collaborative team environments
- Strong time management with adherence to deadlines
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and writing skills
- Data literacy and proficiency in:
- Analysing data to inform strategies
- Interpreting results (including AI-assisted analysis)
- Foundational competencies in:
- On-page technical SEO
- Keyword research
- Content optimisation
- Google Analytics and Search Console baseled knowledge
- Awareness of emerging AI platforms (e.g. LLMs)

Skills Desired (Nice-to-Haves)
- Relevant experience in:
- Marketing agencies
- In-house teams
- Educational SEO programs
- Proficiency with core insight tools (e.g. ScreamingFrog, SEMrush, Ahrefs)
- Basic proficiency in Python, HTML, and/or CSS
- Understanding of:
- Social media marketing
- Influencer marketing
- Content marketing
- Confidence in using:
- Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
