Senior Executive Officer (SEO) – PMO / Project Delivery
Location: UK Wide
Contract: 12-Month FTC (opportunity to go permanent)
Start Date: Immediate
Security Clearance: Must be SC eligible
We're looking for an experienced Senior Executive Officer (SEO) to support the delivery of key transformation projects. This role goes beyond project coordination and requires someone who can lead workstreams, own delivery outcomes, and drive project governance and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Board Secretariat function, including coordinating meetings, agendas, papers, minutes, actions, and decisions.
- Support and oversee multiple projects, maintaining delivery plans and tracking milestones.
- Produce project newsletters and stakeholder communications to drive engagement and awareness.
- Build strong relationships with project managers, delivery teams, and senior stakeholders.
- Maintain governance documentation including RAID logs, status reports, dashboards, and action trackers.
- Monitor risks, issues, dependencies, and milestones, escalating where required.
- Analyse project data and reporting to support decision-making and delivery performance.
- Ensure high-quality documentation and reporting outputs while managing competing priorities.

Experience Required
- Proven PMO, Project Management, or Project Delivery experience.
- Previous leadership experience with responsibility for delivery outcomes.
- Strong governance, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience supporting project boards and governance forums.
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience using MS Project, Excel, SharePoint, and other PMO tools.

Desirable
- Civil Service or wider Public Sector experience.
- Knowledge of government delivery standards, governance, or transformation programmes.
