Location: Manchester (Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office)

Following a recent acquisition and several leadership changes, Candidsky is entering an exciting new phase of growth and development. As part of this evolution, the company is now looking to appoint an SEO Manager to shape the SEO function within the agency. This role offers a genuine opportunity for the right person to grow as the business continues to scale.
The Role
The SEO Manager will oversee the delivery of SEO strategy across a portfolio of client accounts while supporting and mentoring a small team of SEO specialists.
The role will combine strategy development, hands-on SEO delivery, client management and team leadership, ensuring strong campaign performance and high levels of client satisfaction. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced agency environment, is comfortable getting involved operationally, and wants to help shape and grow a department within a scaling business.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead SEO strategy and campaign delivery across a range of client accounts
- Manage and mentor a small team of SEO specialists
- Work directly with clients to understand business objectives and develop SEO strategies
- Develop pitch presentations
- Oversee technical SEO, on-page optimisation and content strategies
- Monitor campaign performance and deliver clear reporting and added-value insights
- Identify opportunities to improve SEO processes, performance and client outcomes
- Support the wider leadership team as the SEO department evolves and grows
- Contribute to the long-term development and scaling of the SEO function
- Deliver thought leadership around the subject matter with a sector focus
- Develop case studies
- Identify opportunities to deepen the client relationships
Ideal Background
The business is open to candidates at slightly different levels of seniority, but the ideal person will bring:
- Experience working in SEO within a digital marketing agency
- Strong knowledge of technical SEO, on-page optimisation and search strategy
- Experience managing client relationships and campaign delivery
- Previous team leadership, mentoring or management experience
- Experience using tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog or similar
- The ability to communicate SEO strategy clearly to both clients and internal teams
