As the company enters its next stage of growth, organic search is becoming a strategic priority. SEO is viewed not simply as a traffic channel, but as a key driver of customer acquisition, brand authority and commercial performance.

Why This Role Exists

Working closely with Digital Performance, Ecommerce, Content, PR and Affiliate teams alongside our SEO agency, the SEO Manager will ensure search visibility remains aligned with both commercial goals and brand positioning. The successful candidate will own SEO strategy end-to-end, ensuring organic search contributes directly to customer acquisition, revenue growth and brand visibility. From technical SEO and content strategy to authority building and emerging AI search opportunities, this role will shape how customers discover Absolute Collagen online.

Role Impact

  • Drive Organic Growth
    Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy that increases visibility, rankings, organic traffic and customer acquisition across key search categories.

  • Build Search Authority
    Strengthen the brand’s authority through technical excellence, content leadership, digital PR and strategic off-site partnerships.

  • Shape AI Search Visibility
    Position Absolute Collagen for the future of search by leveraging AI tools, semantic optimisation and emerging LLM-driven search experiences.

  • Connect SEO to Commercial Performance
    Ensure SEO activity contributes directly to business objectives, translating rankings and traffic into measurable revenue growth and customer acquisition.

  • Champion Search Across the Business
    Act as the organisation’s SEO expert, influencing decisions across content, PR, Ecommerce and development teams to maximise organic growth opportunities.

What Success Looks Like (12 Months)

  • Established a clear SEO roadmap aligned with commercial growth objectives.
  • Delivered significant improvements in organic visibility, rankings and qualified traffic across priority categories.
  • Built a scalable content strategy that consistently generates high-value organic traffic and supports customer acquisition.
  • Increased domain authority through effective digital PR, partnerships and off-site SEO initiatives.
  • Embedded AI-assisted SEO workflows that improve efficiency, content quality and search visibility.
  • Developed robust reporting frameworks that clearly demonstrate SEO’s contribution to revenue and customer growth.
  • Became the recognised SEO subject matter expert across the organisation, influencing strategic decisions and priorities.

Key Responsibilities

SEO Strategy & Leadership

  • Own and deliver the company SEO strategy.
  • Create and maintain a long-term SEO roadmap.
  • Align SEO initiatives with commercial objectives.
  • Prioritise opportunities based on business impact and growth potential.
  • Translate insights into actionable growth initiatives.

Technical SEO

  • Lead technical SEO audits and implementation plans.
  • Partner with developers to improve site performance and crawlability.
  • Optimise indexing, site architecture and technical foundations.
  • Identify and resolve technical barriers affecting search performance.

Content & Organic Growth

  • Develop SEO-led content strategies.
  • Drive keyword growth across priority categories.
  • Ensure content supports both search visibility and brand voice.
  • Improve content performance through ongoing optimisation.

Off-Site SEO & Digital PR

  • Manage relationships with PR agencies and external partners.
  • Build brand authority through strategic outreach and partnerships.
  • Identify backlink and authority-building opportunities.
  • Expand visibility across relevant industry and community platforms.

AI Search & LLM Optimisation

  • Utilise AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemeni and Claude to enhance SEO workflows.
  • Optimise content for semantic and answer-led search experiences.
  • Monitor emerging AI search trends and opportunities.
  • Develop testing frameworks for new AI-driven search technologies.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with Content, PR, Affiliate, Ecommerce and Development teams.
  • Advocate for SEO best practice across the organisation.
  • Influence strategic decisions through data and insight.
  • Ensure SEO remains integrated into wider marketing initiatives.

Experience & Capability

The successful candidate will bring:

  • Proven experience in an SEO Manager or Senior SEO position.
  • Strong technical SEO expertise and confidence working alongside development teams.
  • Experience managing agencies, external partners and digital PR relationships.
  • Deep understanding of keyword strategy, search intent and content planning.
  • Strong analytical capability using platforms such as Ahrefs, Evertune or similar SEO tools.
  • Commercial awareness with a focus on customer acquisition and business growth.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to improve SEO performance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Experience working across multiple departments within a fast-paced business environment.
