Tesco Retail Assistant – Store Role

Tesco Colleague pay starts at £13.28 per hour, rising to £14.55 in stores within the M25. Some locations offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, with roles from 12 hours also available.

Your scheduled shifts will align with the following availability windows:

You will be given at least 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts.


Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, natural service and build connections with customers.
  • Be confident with products and services, offering help where needed.
  • Offer flexible support across the store, including:
    • Shelf replenishment
    • Checkout service
    • Online order picking
    • Occasional delivery assistance
    • General store duties
  • Make customer-focused decisions and complete key store routines.
  • Understand how your role improves customer service, store sales, waste reduction, and overall performance.
