Port Security Officer (Seasonal Fixed-Term Contract)
Location: Aberdeen Port Liner Terminal (AB11 area)
Pay: £14.30 per hour / Weekly Pay (early pay scheme available)
Hours: Average 40 hours per week (as per rota)
Shifts: 06:00–18:00 / 18:00–06:00 (Days, Nights & Weekends – flexibility required)
Requirement: Must hold a valid SIA Licence
About The Role
Kingdom Services Group has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Security Officer to join our team at the Aberdeen Port Liner Terminal.
This is a seasonal fixed-term contract running from present to October 2026, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the security and smooth operation of a busy UK port facility. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service while protecting cargo, infrastructure, and personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting regular patrols to maintain a safe and secure port environment
- Controlling access for vehicles, personnel, and cargo
- Monitoring premises and identifying potential security threats
- Responding effectively to incidents and emergency situations
- Ensuring compliance with UK regulations and ISPS Code requirements
- Completing accurate reports and maintaining detailed records
- Using security systems and communication tools effectively
- Supporting cruise operations, ensuring safe arrival and departure of ships
- Interacting with passengers and visitors, providing guidance and support

What We’re Looking For
- Valid SIA Licence
- Full 5-year checkable work history
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional, reliable, and flexible approach
- Good attention to detail and sound judgement
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- IT skills and ability to complete reports
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated

Additional Information
- This is a seasonal fixed-term contract (present – October 2026)
- You will be required to provide a full five-year checkable employment history
- You will receive a contract of employment from your employer separately
- Shifts include days, nights, and weekends as per site requirements
- Flexibility of 1–2 hours may be required depending on operational needs
