About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced ENT Consultant to join our established team and drive meaningful improvements in patient care. This role will support the expanding Consultant-Led Community ENT Clinic, helping to address growing demand and deliver high-quality outpatient services, including management of paediatric patients, within a community-based setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality outpatient ENT services aligned with clinical best practice and governance standards
  • Work collaboratively with the ENT Lead and report to the Service Manager (Operations) to oversee all aspects of the ENT service delivery
  • Contribute to patient pathway development, enhancing access, outcomes, and overall patient experience
  • Champion service efficiency, supporting best practice in performance management, financial sustainability, and innovation
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs, streamline processes, and improve service delivery
  • Lead, motivate, and support the multidisciplinary team to achieve operational excellence and maintain the highest standards of care

Requirements

✅ Medical Registration

  • Full GMC registration (with a valid licence to practise)

✅ Clinical & Leadership Experience

  • Extensive experience in ENT outpatient care, including management of paediatric patients
  • Ability to operate independently in a community clinic setting, managing all routine ENT conditions
  • Demonstrated autonomy in clinical decision-making while upholding high professional standards

✅ Professional & Organisational Skills

  • Clinical governance, patient safety, and quality improvement expertise
  • Experience in service development, pathway optimisation, and operational efficiency improvements
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and executive management
  • Commitment to cost-effective care, innovation, and continuous service enhancement

✅ Soft Skills & Commitment

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
