Health Care Assistant (Full-Time)

Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our established Secondary Care team and contribute to a company that makes a real difference in healthcare.

As an HCA within our NHS Secondary Care Services, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care. Working alongside a diverse, friendly, and multi-skilled team, you will contribute to a comprehensive range of secondary care services under the direction of the clinical team.

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about improving patient lives and eager to join a supportive, patient-focused environment.

Location & Contract Details

  • Contract Type: Full-Time
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Salary: £26,436.80 per annum
  • Clinic Locations:
    • Barking / Upney area: Barking Community Hospital, Southdene Surgery
    • Ilford / Loxford area: Loxford Polyclinic, Porters Avenue Doctor’s Surgery
    • Hainault / Harold Wood area: Harold Wood Polyclinic, Hainault Health Centre
    • East Ham / Newham: East Ham Memorial Hospital, Westbury Road Medical Practice, Claremont Clinic
    • Tower Hamlets / Bow area: St Andrews Health Centre, The Spitalfield Practice, XX Place Health Centre, Gough Walk Practice, Sir Ludwig Guttman Centre
    • Waltham Forest / Forest Road area: Forest Road Medical Centre, Sinnott Medical Centre, Comely Bank Health Centre

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out tasks and duties delegated by clinical and management teams
  • Order supplies and equipment as required
  • Sterilise equipment to maintain hygiene standards
  • Work with professionalism, autonomy, and care, demonstrating:
    • Confidentiality
    • Empathy
    • Sensitivity
    • Discretion & tact in patient and colleague interactions
