Secondary English Teacher

English Teachers Wanted - Wirral | Secondary Schools | QTS Required

Academics are acting as an employment agency for multiple welcoming and inclusive secondary schools across the Wirral. We are actively recruiting for the role of Secondary English Teacher to deliver high-quality Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4.

We welcome applications from educators at all experience levels, including Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and highly experienced practitioners. Please note that UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is an essential requirement for these positions.

What You'll Do

  • Step into the role of a dedicated Secondary English Teacher, delivering engaging, structured lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Foster a love for reading, analytical thinking, and written expression in students of all abilities.
  • Adapt smoothly to different school environments, supporting students of all backgrounds.
  • Maintain strong classroom management and an inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with existing school English departments.

We are looking for a passionate Secondary English Teacher who meets the following criteria:

  • Must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong subject knowledge across the UK secondary curriculum.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and adaptable classroom management skills.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or a willingness to obtain one through us).
