Secondary Maths Teacher Subject Specialist Local Secondary Schools

Position: Full-Time or Part-Time, Flexible (Term Time Only)

Salary: GBP140 - GBP233 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience)

Start Date: Immediate / Next Term

Your Role as a Mathematics Lead

As a Secondary Maths Teacher, you are responsible for maintaining academic rigour and building student confidence in a vital core subject.

  • Expert Curriculum Delivery: Confidently deliver lessons on everything from algebra and geometry to statistics and probability, ensuring students remain engaged and challenged.
  • Exam Technique Focus: Support Year 11 students with targeted revision and exam strategies to help them achieve their target grades in their GCSEs.
  • Classroom Authority: Maintain a focused, productive learning environment through a professional presence and a clear passion for the subject.
  • Adaptive Support: Quickly identify and address misconceptions, providing differentiated support for students with SEND or those aiming for Grade 9.

Essential Requirements

We are looking for dedicated Maths specialists who can hit the ground running. You are an ideal fit if you:

  • Hold QTS: You have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification (ECTs are highly encouraged).
  • Are a Maths Specialist: You have a degree in Mathematics or a related field, with a deep understanding of the current GCSE curriculum (A-Level experience is a plus).
  • Are Engaging and Resilient: You can make Maths relevant and interesting to a diverse range of students, maintaining firm but fair boundaries.
  • Are Committed: You hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing) and are 100% dedicated to Safeguarding.
